Town Board Meeting
Chairman John Schwarz called the meeting to order at 8:00pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. In attendance were the Town Board, Marvin Heinrich, and Marilyn Lautenschlager.
Public Comments: None.
The Town Board had no objections to the Certified Survey Maps for Marilyn Lautenschlager and Terry Hackbarth.
Andy Pethan made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 10, 2017 meeting, second by Tim Lau, motion carried.
Andy Pethan made a motion to approve the Treasurers report, second by Tim Lau, motion carried.
Tim Lau made a motion to pay all bills presented, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried.
Communications: Town Chairmen and Mayors from Calumet County met with the State Attorney General. He reported that the biggest fight in the State is drug related crimes. He noted that 80% of Calumet County inmates are there because of a drug related crime. This jail as well as others are overcrowded due to this epidemic. Andy Pethan will attend the Chilton Fire Department budget meeting on August 26. Work on the 2020 census has started.
Tim Lau made a motion to adopt Ordinance 2017-2, which would let ATV’s and UTV’s to use Town Roads, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried. This Ordinance will not be in effect until proper signage is installed and the Ordinance is published.
Jeff Schwarz again asked to be able to work through his lunch break. After discussion, it was decided that since Jeff was just hired this will be decided at the 2018 budget meeting. Jeff asked for flexible hours when needed. The Board agreed that as long as the Chairman would be notified before the change of hours would take place, this practice would be acceptable.
Tim Lau made a motion to adjourn at 9:30pm, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried.
