Town Board Meeting
Chairman John Schwarz called the meeting to order at 8:00pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. In attendance were the Town Board and Marvin Heinrich. Treasurer Linda Hedrich was absent.
The Town’s insurance policies were reviewed. An update on employee and elected positions driver’s license numbers is requested by Rural Insurance, as they are covered on their way for Town business. The voting machines were added to the policy.
Public Comments: There were concerns over the Town letting out salt and sand mix. The Board stated that the Town’s policy was to let residents have a couple of pails when needed.
The Board will revisit the policy of Country Visions using the mix.
Tim Lau made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 12 & 30, 2016 meetings, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried.
Andy Pethan made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, second by Tim Lau, motion carried.
Tim Lau made a motion to pay all bills presented, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried.
Communications: The Annual Permit for Wisconsin Public Service was approved. Farm & Home is requiring a list of names from the Town to be put on the store list for using the Town’s charge account. The Town will keep these names confidential. Primary election will be held February 21, 2017.
Andy Pethan made a motion to approve a 3-year contract with Associated Appraisal, second by Tim Lau, motion carried.
The Employee Handbook was reviewed. Tim Lau made a motion to approve the handbook, second by Andy Pethan, motion carried.
The Clerk was advised to run an ad in the Times Journal and Tri-County papers for 2 weeks. Request that resumes be received by the Town by March 1, 2017.
